This morning when he was 2nd AJ Almendinger was all for keeping the cars circulating to keep clearing water off the track. Now that he’s leading hes throwing a tamtrum over the weather and wants the race stopped NOW.

Wayne Taylor was insistent that the race needed to be stopped when the 10 was leading but I bet we don’t hear another peep from him about the weather for as long as the 10 is running 2nd.

It would be a shame for the most competitive Daytona 24 I can remember to end with 9 hours of red flags and yellow .

Man, this sounds like demo-derby logic: “the race should keep going until I win.”

Unfortunate, but also unsurprising.

I think I stopped watching around the 8 hour mark, I think Van der Zande was still in the #10 DPi (probably around 10:30 - 11:00PM EST is when I stopped watching).

The problem with endurance racing is that I pay attention for the first few hours, am heavily intoxicated for a few hours after that, and then unconscious for a large part of the race (I guess around 1/3 of it).

Looks like they’ve been on yellows for a LONG time now, they really need to get things going again.

Since 6AM EST this morning they have shown the green flag twice. Once for 1 corner and just now for probably 5 laps. The more green they run the better the track is going to get.
